Pattern Editor
The Pattern Editor is a dedicated tool for designing your own balloon pattern. You can already pick colors and patterns in-game, but this tool lets you go further — painting a grid cell by cell, just like a real manufacturer's envelope diagram, or splitting cells into triangular panels for even finer control.
What it can do
- A 3D preview, drawn with the same math the game uses, that you can drag to rotate and inspect
- Start from a built-in pattern (alternating, horizontal, spiral, and more) as a base to adjust
- Click to paint individual grid cells or triangular panels in any color you like
- Load a reference photo or diagram alongside the editor to trace an existing pattern
- Copy the finished design as a short share code — send it to a friend and they can load the same pattern in-game
How to use it
- Choose whether to build from a formula or paint the grid/triangles directly
- Pick a color under "Palette," then click grid cells or triangles to paint them
- Check the result in the 3D preview as you go
- Copy the share code and paste it into the game's balloon pattern field
This tool uses the exact same formulas and share-code format as the game itself
(balloon-appearance.js) — directly, not a reimplementation. If the game's code format ever
changes in the future, this tool follows automatically, so the two never fall out of sync.
